As you tour Belize, you will undoubtedly discover some great places to eat and sleep; you will also meet a lot of friendly faces, but not all will leave a mark. I stayed at Casa Placencia for four nights, and each day left indelible memories in my mind. My entire stay, from check-in to check-out, was way beyond my expectation concerning services.
Jacki, the owner, treated me as if though I was a special guest in her “own home.” Without overpowering or insincere “kind gestures”, I was consistently assured that assistance is just a “holler” or ring away – I’m a Belizean living in the US, so I have the advantage of discerning insincerity when directed toward me. Jacki is like a walking Belizean encyclopedia – this will work to your advantage whether you live in Belize or just passing through.
Kennedy, the property manager, omg… He is so humble, naturally caring and always ready to address your needs.
Whether you are in Belize to experience the rich Belizean culture, or strictly business, I strongly recommend that you put Casa Placencia at the top of your list of “places to stay.” Their prices are very affordable, rooms are clean and comfortable, and the services… It is a rare combination.
