The Mirador Hotel in Corozal Town, Belize, is a family business owned by long time business people José and Lydia Gongora. It opened its doors to the public in August of 2006. Mirador, a Spanish word meaning “the one who sees” or vantage point, is the perfect name for the hotel. The Mirador Hotel is four stories high with a rooftop terrace that gives your a full-circle view of Corozal Town. It also has a cupola, where guests can relax in the hammocks and chairs. Many changes and improvements are being made, for example there is now a telephone in each bedroom.
Hotel management has been taken over by Karina Gongora Aké, José and Lydia’s second daughter, who is committed to making the Mirador Hotel very hospitable and tourism friendly for all our visitors – Belizeans, and foreigners alike. It already has the best location of any hotel in Corozal Town!
