On Tuesday 1st May, 2012 at 4:55pm Police responded to a scene in Banana Bank where it was reported that brothers ALLISON THIMBRIEL Jr. 32yrs of #6 Tapir Street, Belmopan City and OSBOURNE GRANT, 26yrs, jumped into the Belize River to rescue a child who was drowning. After rescuing the child Grant went under water as if he was experiencing some kind of difficulties. Upon seeing this Thimbriel turned back to assist Grant and they both went under.  An immediate search was launched in trying to rescue both men, but was fruitless.  At 9:00am Police were called out to an area in Banana Bank where the body of OSBORNE GRANT was recovered and the search continues for ALLISON THIMBRIEL.
