On Thursday 27 December 2012 at around 7:40 pm, based on information received of a shooting incident, police visited the street side in front of a residence   in the Milpa area of Ladyville, Belize District where they saw a pair of slippers and a blood stained cap. Initial investigations revealed that at about 7:30 pm on the same night a group of neighbors were socializing in front of the residence when reportedly a male person of dark complexion wearing a blue T-shirt and a blue jeans ¾ pants approached them and fired several shots in their direction in which 21 year old Allen Davis of Marage Road in Ladyville received multiple gunshot wounds. (Head, chest, private area, and both legs). He later succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at the KHMH.  A 4 year old minor also received a superficial gunshot wound (graze) to the left hand and 25 year old Jamie Chavarria also of Ladyville received an apparent gunshot wound to the left leg. All were transported to the KHMH for treatment. Two other young ladies from Ladyville were also grazed in the incident. Police have since retrieved two slugs, four S&B 9mm expended shells, three Aguila brand 9mm shells and five Luger brand expended shells from the scene.

Police believe that this was not a random act of shooting and that the intended target was Rene Chavarria Jr (no stranger to the police) the brother of Jaime Chavarria. Police continue to investigate this latest shooting incident.
